MICHAEL A. BOOKER
Fragments of memories centered around the family and the private bond they share, my African American and southern heritage, and personal experience are assembled together in the form of discarded and reused found objects from the home, combined with paint, photos, prints, and other mixed media. These assemblages are reflections of the communities I am apart of in Mississippi, where I am from, and Maryland, where I am now, and should resonate with people and tie them back to their own memories of their families and community.
