Quilt making, in its’ simplest form, is the taking of fragments from various sources and putting them together to form a new symbol that gives new meaning to those fragments, collectively. My work incorporates of the language of quilt making, transforming its’ ideals to reflect on issues and experiences that occur within families and communities.
